Come along with Seattle Chamber Music Society this fall for a week in vibrant London, where historic charm meets modern energy.
You’ll enjoy magical music performances in iconic venues throughout the city including SCMS’ own Artistic Director James Ehnes in collaboration with the Philharmonia Orchestra in a performance of Dvořák’s lively violin concerto at Royal Festival Hall. You’ll also hear the internationally-acclaimed period performance ensemble Arcangelo on the Wigmore Hall stage, a recital exclusive to the group at one of London’s gems, the Mayfair home of George Frederic Handel (and tour the apartment of Jimi Hendrix next door!), and take an excursion to the gorgeous Sussex countryside for a performance of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at Glyndebourne.
On your last evening in London, you’ll enjoy a private recital in the exotic Holland Park home of Frederick Lord Leighton. During the day, we’ll visit some of London’s finest attractions including two of the great encyclopedic museums in the world, the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert.
